Banking hasn't changed much in decades. We're changing that. One product at a time.

Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank building the future of financial life with AI at the core. Our engineers, designers, and product people work on problems that actually matter. Making money simpler, smarter, and more rewarding for a million of registered users across the Nordics.

Fully licensed and founded in 2015, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm.

We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're just getting started.

As our new Technical Product Manager for the Data Platform, you'll be one third of a leadership trio — alongside a Staff Architect and Engineering Manager — owning the product vision and strategy for one of Lunar's most critical foundations — the infrastructure that powers everything from real-time financial reporting to AI and ML.

What will you do?

  • Define what the data platform is and isn't responsible for, setting clear service agreements with consumers like Finance, Financial Crime Prevention, Lending, and Product Analytics — and manage inbound demand, sequencing requests fairly and surfacing capacity constraints before they become a problem.
  • Own data governance and GDPR compliance for the platform, including the GDPR deletion engine, DORA operational resilience requirements, and BCBS 239 data reporting. Legacy infrastructure migration and EOL decisions sit with the Lead Architect.
  • Help shape and deliver Lunar's AI ambitions — making data accessible, governed, and agent-ready as AI use grows across the organisation.
  • Bring product representation to the data platform: problem definitions, OKRs, stakeholder prioritisation, and roadmap communication.

What are we looking for in you?

  • You push back on requests that don't solve a real problem, and you're as comfortable saying "not yet" as you are shipping a roadmap. You measure your success by what changed, not what shipped.
  • Technical fluency to engage credibly with engineers: you understand event-driven architecture and modern data stacks without needing to be the expert in the room. At Lunar, squads are autonomous with deep technical knowledge of their own — your job is to ask the right questions, not have all the answers.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, ideally financial services — you treat compliance and data governance as core responsibilities, not bureaucratic overhead

What you get.

  • 4 days in the office. We're a team that builds together, thinks together, and moves together. Showing up is part of how we work.
  • State of the art equipment. The newest computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard. We want you to do your best work without anything slowing you down.
  • Pension, health insurance, and enhanced parental leave. From your financial future to your family moments. We've got you covered.
