Role description
This role requires a senior software engineer specializing in Go and Java development to design build and secure enterpriselevel applications and platforms The consultant will be a key figure in enhancing software supply chain security and driving the adoption of secure development practices across the software development lifecycle SDLC
Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering
Design develop and maintain enterprisegrade software solutions using Go and Java
Build scalable and secure applications based on cloudnative architectures
Lead code reviews and contribute to system design and technical strategy
Evaluate and integrate opensource technologies
Software Supply Chain Security
Implement and manage security controls for software dependencies build systems and deployment processes that drives the adoption of Software Bill of Materials SBOM dependency management and artifact integrity controls
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to build solutions that mitigate vulnerabilities in opensource components
DevSecOps CICD
Design and optimize CICD pipelines integrating automated security testing eg code scanning dependency analysis
Develop automation to support continuous integration testing and secure deployments
Promote InfrastructureasCode IaC best practices
Secure Development Lifecycle SDL
Champion and embed SDL practices throughout the organization
Conduct threat modeling security design reviews and support the remediation of security findings
Required Skills Experience
Experience 5 years in enterprise software engineering
Core Programming Strong handson proficiency in Go Golang and Java
Architecture Deep understanding of distributed systems microservices APIs and software design patterns
CICD Extensive experience implementing and managing CICD pipelines eg GitHub Actions GitLab Jenkins
Security
Strong knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle SDL practices and secure coding
Understanding of software supply chain security concepts SBOMs dependency management vulnerability management
Preferred Experience with Software Composition Analysis SCA tools and implementing DevSecOps
Preferred Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and policyascode
Technologies
Containerization Docker and Kubernetes
Cloud Platforms Familiarity with AWS Azure or Google Cloud
Certifications Preferred but not required CSSLP CISSP Security
Education
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience a related technical field is required
Skills Mandatory Skills : Application Security (application security framework/ threat modelling/ Secure SDLC/ DevSecOps/Application Security Architecture Review)
