Be the person the project teams call before every big decision. Let AI do the heavy lifting, so you can spend your time where it counts: challenging the numbers and shaping the outcome.
European Energy is a growing company in the renewable energy sector. We are a privately owned Danish company founded in 2004, with our headquarters in Copenhagen. We develop, construct, and operate solar (PV), onshore wind and hybrid BESS projects globally, as well as Power-to-X projects. We are present across the full renewable energy value chain from development to operations and asset management but are also very active in M&A to recycle capital into new activities. Our core values form the foundation of everything we do: In It Together, Trust and Courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
Your New Team
FP&A owns the financial management framework within European Energy: the financial data warehouse, project controlling, budgets/forecasts including performance management, management reporting, group business plan, inputs to investment decisions and capital allocation. We are a team of 12, international and informal, and we already use AI every day. Now we are making AI the way we work, not a side tool. You report to Anders Lykke Jacobsen, VP, Head of FP&A.
Your New Role
You build, analyse, and solve. With modern tools and AI doing the heavy lifting, you bring the direction, judgement, and drive that turn numbers into decisions.
You are a sparring partner for the business, someone who points attention to what matters and helps get it solved.
Your Responsibilities
- Build modern tools: dashboards, automations, and reusable AI workflows
- Anchor it all in stable models: budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete
- Analyse performance across projects and the portfolio, and direct management’s attention to the variances, risks, and opportunities that matter
- Analyse business decisions from a financial perspective, identify issues and develop solutions with the business, and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Contribute to the group budget, forecast, and management reporting cycles, and take responsibility for the quality of everything AI helps you deliver
Prerequisites to progress in the job
- You think in numbers and understand value chains deeply
- You direct AI like a sharp colleague: you brief it well, ask deep questions, collaborate, test what comes back, and know when it is wrong
- You are not satisfied until the routine is automated and is a solid part of recurring deliverables
- You learn fast and share what you learn, because the tools change every month You have high work capacity and are driven by hard problems and by delivering results
With us you get
- Real influence on how a modern FP&A team works with AI Close collaboration with project, construction, and finance colleagues across an international organisation
