Your responsibilities

  • Support activities of the Liquidity Risk team, help optimize and steer the associated marging risks of commodity trading of the Uniper group
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of margined portfolio movements, develop forecasts and identify key drivers
  • Support projects and develop enhancements to model liquidity risks in Liquidity/Credit Risk Systems
  • Support steering of the margined portfolio across various exchanges and OTC markets
  • Support stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of market conditions on liquidity/margining
  • Facilitate the understanding and modelling of liquidity risks across the portfolio to gain an adequate quantification of the capital requirements and associated costs
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with commodity trading desks and provide recommendations to optimize current portfolio
  • Monitor liquidity risks for the Uniper group, understand and explain the liquidity risks to various stakeholders

Your profile

  • Background in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • Several years of experience in Liquidity/Margining Management, Collateral Optimization, Clearing or Risk Management within a financial services / energy trading environment
  • Understanding of clearing, initial margin models (SPAN, IRM2), margin call management, value / margin at risk concepts and collateral workflow topics
  • Familiar with derivative products and EFET, ISDA and CSA documentation
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in quantitative risk methodologies (VaR, PFE) and stress testing
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL
  • Strong team player with experience of working in an international and multicultural team, with the ability to cultivate strong positive working relationships
  • Ability to work independently, form own judgment/opinions, provide insights and drive change
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with Senior Management
