Overview
A first-time mother, due 4th September, is looking for an experienced Maternity Nurse to support her for approximately 12 weeks in beautiful Palma, Mallorca. The family home is set near the beach, in a relaxed and walkable part of the city, offering a wonderful setting to welcome a new baby into the world. With no family close by, the family is seeking a calm, steady, and reassuring presence to guide them through this precious new chapter with confidence and warmth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurturing professional to enjoy island life while providing dedicated one-to-one care during a truly special time.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Maternity Nurse in Palma, Mallorca include:
- Provide full maternity nurse support from a week (minimum few days) before due date
- Deliver 24/7 cover for the first 2–3 weeks
- Transition to 24/6 cover thereafter (one day off per week)
- Support combination feeding (breast and bottle)
- Act as the primary, confident source of newborn care and reassurance in the absence of nearby family support
Candidates must be/have:
- Strong experience as a Maternity Nurse within private households
- Right to work in the EU / Resident in Spain
- A calm, gentle, and reassuring in personality
- A clean, valid driving licence (desirable, not essential)
- Excellent references
- Comfortable working independently as the sole support on the ground
Accommodation
A private bedroom and bathroom are provided.
Hours
First 2–3 weeks: 24/7 cover.
Thereafter: 24/6 cover (one day off per week).

Close to the beach in Palma, Mallorca.
Salary
Day / hourly rate, DOE.
