The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking to fill a PraeDoc position for a period of four years. This includes the participation in research projects on novel cancer therapeutics and cancer senescence.
Your personal sphere of influence:
The MMCT research laboratory at the Department for Pharmaceutical Sciences focuses on the development of novel nucleic acid-based therapies and biotherapeutics, with a special emphasis on the treatment of malignant tumors. To this end, vectors are developed using biochemical and molecular biological methods and evaluated in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo in appropriate tumor models.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
You will be involved in research projects/ research studies.
We expect you to finalise your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
You will work on and finalise your dissertation.
You will teach courses independently in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
You will be responsible for administrative activities in research and teaching.
Participation in publications/scientific articles
Lecturing activities
Supervision of students
Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums
Involvement in the department administation as well as in teaching and research administration
This is part of your personality:
Completed Master's/Diploma degree in the field of pharmacy
Relevant expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology.
Methodological competence - Didactic competence
High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
Excellent command of written and spoken English
IT user skills
Ability to work in a team
Teaching in biochemical methods, protein biochemistry, cell culture techniques
Experience with scientific research work with nucleic acid based vectors.
Desirable qualifications are - Teaching experience / experience of working with e-learning
Knowledge of university processes and structures - Experience abroad
Basic experience in research methods and academic writing Application documents

Fair salary: The basic salary of EUR 3.776,10 (on a full-time basis) increases if we can credit professional experience.
