GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
The contractor will independently perform business analysis activities within a complex technology and security transformation program. The assignment focuses on gathering, analysing, structuring, and translating information into clear requirements and solution directions across multiple initiatives.
The Business Analyst will assess current situations, identify dependencies and risks, facilitate information gathering among stakeholders, and translate organisational objectives into practical business and solution requirements.
Working based on professional expertise and independent judgment, the contractor will collaborate with program management, architects, security specialists, project stakeholders, and subject-matter experts. The contractor remains responsible for determining the approach, methodology, and execution required to achieve the agreed deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / AREAS OF DELIVERY
- Independently perform business analysis activities across multiple initiatives within the program.
- Analyse and document business processes, systems, responsibilities, controls, and operational scenarios.
- Identify stakeholders, responsibilities, ownership structures, and decision-making processes.
- Prepare and facilitate interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
- Translate program objectives, risks, and improvement opportunities into clear requirements.
- Define and document business, functional, non-functional, operational, and security requirements.
- Develop use cases, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definitions of Done where applicable.
- Develop solution approaches and solution designs that support architecture and implementation activities.
- Maintain traceability between objectives, requirements, controls, decisions, and implementation activities.
- Identify dependencies and shared information needs across initiatives, projects, and organisational departments.
- Proactively identify and resolve incomplete, conflicting, or missing information.
- Deliver structured analyses, reports, documentation, and decision-support materials.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Solution Analyst, or a comparable professional role.
- Experience working within complex technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, or IT environments.
- Proven experience in requirements engineering and business process analysis.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across multiple organisational levels.
- Experience developing use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into practical solution directions in collaboration with architects and technical specialists.
- Experience within cybersecurity, security transformation, or risk-driven programs is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security controls, and risk management is considered a significant advantage.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months
- Contract type: Freelance (ZZP)
- Working hours: 32–40 hours per week (hybrid; on-site presence 3 days a week)
- Rate: €95 – €110 all-in (excluding VAT)
