Are you an Electronics Design Engineer looking to develop technology that makes a real difference?
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a MedTech product development team working with advanced medical devices.
In this role, you will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle – from concept, specification and architecture through design, prototyping and testing to manufacturing transfer and product support.
You will work in a highly regulated environment where technical excellence, quality, safety and reliability are critical. The role offers the opportunity to influence technical solutions and contribute to the development of products used in healthcare.
The Role
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical design and development of electrical hardware for new products as well as improvements to existing products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, development partners, manufacturing, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical designs meet technical, quality and regulatory requirements.
You will also have the opportunity to investigate new technologies and propose innovative technical solutions that address customer and product needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and design electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing medical products.
Participate in the complete product development lifecycle, including:
Concept development
Requirements and specifications
System and hardware architecture
Component selection
Circuit design
Prototyping
Testing and verification
Risk analysis
Manufacturing transfer
Service and product support
Plan, coordinate and execute electrical hardware development activities within projects and sub-projects.
Ensure appropriate design controls and documentation according to requirements.
Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering decisions.
Coordinate technical activities with development and manufacturing partners.
Design and develop robust test infrastructure to reduce dependency on hardware availability.
Investigate defects, deviations and technical issues in products and designs.
Support regulatory and quality activities and ensure requirements are properly addressed and closed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes and development methods.
Work closely with production, technical support, suppliers and sub-suppliers.
Investigate and evaluate new technologies and technical solutions.
Technical Areas
We are particularly interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Analog electronics and signal conditioning
A/D and D/A conversion
Digital electronics and digital design
Power electronics and power systems
RF design
FPGA and programmable logic / CPLD
EMC and electromagnetic compatibility
Hardware testing and verification
You do not need to be an expert in every area. Strong expertise in one or several of these domains is highly valuable.
Your Background
We are looking for an engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with a structured and quality-focused approach to product development.
Minimum requirements:
BSc in Electronics Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or
MSc in Electronics Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Professional experience within electronics hardware development.
Experience with product development, testing and technical documentation.
Good understanding of quality, safety and regulatory considerations in product development.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in English.
Experience from MedTech is a Plus
Experience from MedTech, medical devices or another highly regulated industry is particularly valuable.
Experience working according to structured development processes, design controls, risk management, verification and regulatory requirements will be considered a strong advantage.
