Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Planning: Interface with the Interior/Exterior Center and vehicle project teams to collect European market research needs; plan and execute vehicle-in-practice research, user interviews, dealer interviews, and competitive analysis.
- Standardization & Reporting: Establish research questionnaires, interview templates, benchmarking templates, and research databases; output standardized research reports to support product definition, trim/configuration strategies, and project decision-making.
- Localization & Definition: Conduct localized product definition, configuration verification, and project risk assessments for interior/exterior systems based on European user needs, regulatory requirements, competitor configurations, and market feedback.
- Benchmarking & Analysis: Responsible for the benchmarking, teardown research, component testing, and competitiveness analysis of European competitor models; output design analysis and research reports on competitive products.
- Specialized Research: Carry out specialized studies on seat comfort, eco-friendly materials, in-car air quality (odor), moving parts design, user feedback, and media reviews to support product optimization and localized development.
- Project Review: Participate in vehicle project reviews; provide recommendations on interior/exterior design selection, structural performance, product definition, and risk assessment to ensure closed-loop project solutions.
- Quality & Feedback Tracking: Follow up on quality issues, after-sales feedback, NPS (Net Promoter Score), test drives, and media reviews for models sold in Europe; collaborate with R&D teams to develop quality improvement plans.
- Trend Tracking & Innovation: Track new structures, materials, processes, and technologies in the European interior/exterior sector; output technical trend analyses and participate in pre-research, patent filing, technical standards, and process construction.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design, Materials Engineering, Industrial Design, Automotive Engineering, or related fields are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience; priority given to candidates with experience in Interior/Exterior R&D, competitive benchmarking, product definition, user research, quality improvement, or localization of overseas models.
- Technical Skills: Familiar with automotive interior/exterior system structures, development processes, evaluation methods, and trim/configuration strategies; ability to conduct systematic analysis across dimensions such as design, materials, manufacturing processes, performance, regulations, cost, and user perception.
- Core Competencies: Strong capabilities in research planning, competitive analysis, problem identification, report writing, and project management; ability to translate research findings into clear product optimization recommendations.
- Market Knowledge: Preference given to candidates familiar with the European automotive market, European user habits, mainstream competitor features, and regulatory trends.
- Language Skills: English as a working language for technical literature retrieval, meeting communication, emailing, and report writing; proficiency in a local European language is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent cross-departmental coordination skills; ability to interface with R&D, project teams, quality, after-sales, marketing, suppliers, and local European agencies to ensure closed-loop problem solving.
- Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in PPT reporting, Excel data processing, questionnaire design, and documentation.
