Senior Azure Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join our team in Spain in a remote working mode. In this role, you will design, implement and manage Azure-based cloud environments, driving migration, automation and CI/CD practices to enable scalable and secure infrastructure for global projects. You will collaborate with development teams to optimize performance, reduce operational overhead and ensure compliance with cloud governance frameworks.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale transformation for a global financial market infrastructure provider, using cutting-edge Azure technologies to build and maintain business-critical platforms across international markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for various applications and automate workflows for improved efficiency
• Design and maintain Microsoft Azure environments ensuring security, scalability and cost optimization
• Lead workload migration to Azure Cloud, supporting seamless transitions and performance tuning
• Implement and improve Infrastructure-as-Code and release automation practices
• Provide technical guidance for development teams on CI/CD and IaC best practices
• Set up monitoring frameworks and optimize resources for performance and cost control
• Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python, PowerShell or Bash
• Manage the full release process, ensuring smooth deployments and operational reliability

Requirements

• Proven experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Azure-based production systems
• Hands-on expertise with Azure services: Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Databases, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Strong understanding of Azure networking including VNet, VWAN, ExpressRoute, Gateways, Load Balancers, Firewalls, App Gateway and CDN
• Practical experience in Kubernetes orchestration on Azure environments
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory for authentication, role management and security
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Knowledge of monitoring best practices and performance alerting frameworks
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash and Python
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher with strong communication skills

• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards in cloud environments
