Job Summary:
Join our Legal Compliance team as a KYC Investigator, where you will play a key role in safeguarding Accenture against financial crime risks. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis to assess potential Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and other financial crime risks associated with new and existing clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive KYC investigations on companies and individuals using open-source and proprietary tools.
- Assess financial crime risks and provide well-reasoned recommendations, escalating complex or high-risk cases as appropriate.
- Lead or support investigations involving complex ownership structures, high-risk jurisdictions, and sensitive reputational concerns.
- Draft high-quality, audit-ready reports in English evaluating regulatory and reputational risks.
- Maintain clear and defensible documentation of all investigative steps and conclusions.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members, supporting capability building.
- Engage with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to clarify risk exposures and support decision-making.
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance research and analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
- University degree in Law preferred; degrees in Accountancy, Economics, Journalism, International Relations, or related fields will also be considered, provided the candidate has relevant AML experience.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a must. Spanish and Portuguese are considered a plus. Other languages will be considered an asset.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or investigative roles.
- Prior experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Know Your Customer (KYC) processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations and financial crime typologies.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
- Generative and Agentic Artificial Intelligence exposure will be highly valued.
