Role Summary
Drive Complex IT Solutions as a Solution & Process Designer
IT Solution & Process Design is the key enabler for complex, cross-product IT solutions. In this role, you’ll drive the team transforming big-picture requirements—often called Epics—into clear concepts and actionable designs. You’ll define how processes run across multiple IT products, ensuring seamless integration and execution providing expertise in the Order Management Solutions (OMS) area. OMS is a key focus area of DHL Ocean Freight Forwarding and key enabler of the success of DGF.
Your mission? Break down complexity, define requirements, and guide IT Product Management to configure or build the capabilities needed. While Product Management focuses on building at the product level, you’ll operate at a higher conceptual level—detailing user stories, agreeing on delivery timelines, and support the team in ensuring every component meets capability standards. As Manager you are part of the team that delivers a complete, working solution to the Order Management Teams. You will be part of the team on high complex topics or work independent on smaller less complex items.
For large-scale or highly complex initiatives, you’ll collaborate closely with dedicated project managers to ensure success. This is a role for problem-solvers who thrive on turning complexity into clarity and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Engineering:
Drive and agree in collaboration Product (OMS) and Function stakeholders the understanding and detailing out of complex Epics, including requirements / stories, constraints, and key challenges.
- IT Solution Design and Process Mapping:
Lead the Solutions Design and Process Mapping workstream by defining, documenting, and aligning high-level conceptual solutions across IT products, detailing process execution, product capabilities, and their interactions.
- Users Story creation:
Lead the definition, documentation, and alignment on individual user stories—both functional and non-functional—to deliver required capabilities across IT products.
- Technology recommendation:
Drive the technology landscape evaluation process and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and stakeholders to evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, frameworks, and third-party services that best fit OMS.
- Solution Delivery / Project Management:
Lead the delivery of the agreed solution and scope across IT products, including stakeholder management, reporting, and project management oversight.
- Solution Evaluation and testing:
Lead the solution evaluation and testing deliverable, with the support of the Test Factory, the solution during delivery by IT Product Management, guiding teams to ensure alignment with the defined design or adjusting requirements in collaboration with Product and/or Function.
- Solution enablement
Manage and collaborate closely with Product and Function teams to ensure successful deployment, operational use of the delivered solution, and realization of agreed benefits.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Infor Nexus / CW1 / Order Management Software, specifically in Solution and Process Design.
- Understanding how technology can / should drive business operation (technology supporting the business).
- Extensive knowledge around the Order Management or International Supply Chain IT processes.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, manage projects, adapt to various situations.
- Strong management consultancy skills.
- Effective communication skills / interpersonal understanding.
- Ability to influence and negotiate internally as well as with external vendors.
- Customer and business orientated, logistics market understanding and insight.
- Achievement drive and initiative.
- Lateral thinker able to work outside constraints of as-is model.

- Relevant Degree
- Certified Project Manager
- Six Sigma Certification
Experience Level
- 7+ years of Order Management Solutions or similar experience
- 10 years of Freight Forwarding experience
- Minimum 7-year complex project or large program experience
