Responsibilities
- Develop Embedded Firmware
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware components for industrial automation products and platform-level systems.
- Implement Product Features
- Develop and validate features related to network communication, controller runtime functions, and platform or operating system services.
- Debug Embedded Software
- Develop and debug complex embedded C++ software and perform systematic defect and root cause analysis.
- Resolve Technical Issues
- Prioritize and resolve complex and critical technical issues at software and system level.
- Develop Software Tests
- Develop unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD-driven quality processes.
- Design Software Architecture
- Participate in requirements analysis, system design, architecture discussions, and ownership of specific software components.
- Create Technical Documentation
- Prepare high-level and low-level technical design documentation and support technical documentation maintenance.
- Conduct Code Reviews
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with embedded software development standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams
- Work with international engineering teams and stakeholders across distributed development environments.
- Support Agile Development
- Participate in Agile and SAFe planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities. Requirements
- C++ Development Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with C++.
- Embedded Systems Experience
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development and debugging.
- Technical Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong understanding of requirements analysis, software design, implementation, and testing processes.
- Embedded Systems Knowledge
- Knowledge of embedded systems architecture and real-time operating systems such as QNX or VxWorks.
- Network Communication
- Knowledge of TCP/IP or Ethernet-based communication.
- Version Control
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
- CI/CD Practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, preferably Jenkins.
- English Language Skills
- Fluent English with a minimum B2 level.
