Graduation Internship: Build a Smarter Wealth Management Dashboard with UX, Data & AI
Are you an ICT or IT student looking for a graduation project that combines research, software development, user experience and real business impact?
During this graduation internship, you will modernise the Wealth Management Portfolio Dashboard used by portfolio managers. You will choose one of two graduation tracks. Both tracks share the same foundation: improving the dashboard through user-friendly UI components, effective data visualisations and a tested implementation that preserves all existing core functionality. Track 2 adds a dedicated AI research component to this UX improvement assignment.
Track 1: Dashboard & UX Development
Focus: Improve the dashboard’s usability and presentation by introducing suitable Ext JS components, intuitive UI patterns and meaningful data visualisations.
You will:
- Learn how the current module and its Ext JS components are implemented.
- Gather functional and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Research available Ext JS components, including examples from Kitchen Sink, and suitable UX/UI patterns.
- Determine how important portfolio information can be made immediately visible and understandable.
- Create a proposal with wireframes and review it with your internship supervisor and the Product Owner.
- Implement the approved design without losing any core functionality.
- Test and evaluate the improved dashboard and verify that existing functionality remains intact.
Result: A validated, implemented and tested UX improvement for the Wealth Management Portfolio Dashboard.
Track 2: Dashboard UX Development + AI Research
Focus: Complete all UX improvement activities described under Track 1 and extend the assignment with research into AI-powered features that could help portfolio managers understand portfolio information more efficiently.
In addition to all Track 1 activities, you will:
- Research AI use cases within wealth management and financial dashboard applications.
- Identify areas where AI could support portfolio managers in understanding portfolio data.
- Develop AI feature concepts and include them in the wireframes and stakeholder review.
- Investigate the feasibility of integrating selected AI features into EbankView, specifically the Wealth Management Portfolio Dashboard.
- Optionally develop and test a Proof of Concept for a selected AI feature.
Result: The validated, implemented and tested UX improvement delivered in Track 1, supplemented by an AI research report or, where feasible, a working Proof of Concept.
Who are we looking for?
You are nearing completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. You enjoy developing software and using technology to solve real user and business challenges.
- You have a strong interest in software development
- You are interested in front-end development, UX/UI and data visualisation.
- For Track 2, you are also curious about or even experimenting with the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence
- You can conduct structured research and translate findings into technical choices and practical solutions.
- You can work independently and collaborate effectively with developers, Product Owners and other stakeholders.
- Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript or Ext JS is an advantage, but motivation and willingness to learn are equally important.
What do we offer?
- A substantial graduation project with visible impact on a real enterprise application.
- A clear choice between a focused UX development track and a broader UX plus AI research track.
- Professional guidance from experienced software engineers and product specialists.
- Hands-on experience with software development, UX, financial technology and, depending on your chosen track, AI.
- A hybrid/on-site work arrangement and an internship allowance.
