Head of Finance

At Robotto, we build advanced autonomy and software solutions for drones and unmanned systems. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Head of Finance who can take ownership of our core finance operations and build the processes, systems and financial structure we need as the company scales.

This is a hands-on role for someone with solid finance experience who enjoys being close to the business. You will manage the day-to-day finance function while also building a structured and scalable setup for the future.

The role

As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of finance and payroll across the group and become an important financial partner to the business and leadership team.

You will report organizationally to the COO, with a functional reporting line to the CEO.

Our finance function is developing alongside the company. You will take what is in place today and strengthen it by establishing clear processes, reliable reporting, appropriate controls and the right systems.

As Robotto grows, the scope of the role can grow with it, including the opportunity to build and develop a finance team over time.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliations and monthly close
• Coordinate annual accounts under Danish GAAP and manage the audit process
• Manage payroll, pensions, holiday pay, benefits and related reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and variance analysis
• Manage customer invoicing, receivables, supplier payments and approvals
• Ensure VAT, tax and other financial compliance requirements are handled correctly
• Manage intercompany finance between our Danish parent company and Ukrainian entity, including invoicing, reconciliation and transfer-pricing matters
• Prepare monthly management reporting, financial KPIs and reporting for leadership and the board
• Provide financial input for grants, tenders, banking, investor and other due-diligence processes
• Develop financial controls, documentation and scalable processes
• Evaluate and improve our finance and payroll systems, introducing automation where it adds value
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, accountants, tax advisors and other external partners

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines strong financial fundamentals with a practical, hands-on mindset.

You will ideally bring:

• 5+ years of relevant experience within finance, accounting or a similar function, with significant hands-on responsibility
• Experience owning or playing a key role in a finance function
• Strong knowledge of Danish accounting, payroll, VAT and tax requirements
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and management reporting
• Understanding of group structures and intercompany transactions; international experience is an advantage
• Experience with modern accounting and payroll systems such as e-conomic, Business Central, Danløn, Zenegy or similar
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in using systems and automation to make finance more efficient
• A structured, precise and self-driven approach — you identify what is missing and take ownership of putting it in place
• Strong communication skills in English; Danish is a strong advantage
• A relevant degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics or similar, such as cand.merc., HD(R) or equivalent
• The ability to obtain the required security clearance

Experience establishing, building or scaling a finance function within a startup or scale-up environment would be a strong advantage.

Most importantly, you are comfortable joining an environment where not everything has already been built and you will be responsible for owning and and shaping the finance department at Robotto. You enjoy creating structure, taking ownership and developing solutions that can grow with the business.
