Network Relationship Director
InPay · Copenhagen, Denmark
You apply off-site, with the employer or the job board. I never handle applications.
Founded in 2008 in a bid to make cross-border transactions easier, Inpay is a successful, fast-growing Danish Fintech and licensed payment service provider that processes millions of transactions each year. We see ourselves as the interface between the financial technology revolution and the established banking system. As such, we offer an international, dynamic workplace that welcomes curious, creative and challenger colleagues.
About the role
As Network Relationship Director, you own a portfolio of the banks and third-party PSPs/EMIs that make Inpay’s payments work. You’ll build and grow those partnerships, hunt for new providers, negotiate the commercials, and act as the bridge between our partners and the teams here at Inpay.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys both sides of the job: the relationship building and networking, and the detail of terms, compliance and day-to-day problem solving.
Your primary tasks will be
- Manage a selection of the network of banks and third-party PSPs/EMIs used by Inpay to support the payments, collections and safeguarding of client and firm fund solutions – creating, building and managing relationships with partners around the world.
- Hunt for new providers, including at suitable networking events such as conferences and virtual seminars.
- Negotiate acceptable financial and service terms with payment solution providers and banks.
- Stay up to date on the latest industry developments impacting your provider portfolio.
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders – Network Operations, Operations, Implementation and IT – to ensure efficient integration of new product solutions and to manage ongoing concerns.
- Work closely with other departments to track and address issues with providers.
- Act as an escalation point for day-to-day operational issues.
- Take ultimate responsibility for completion of KYC reviews on Inpay to maintain accounts and relationships.
- Manage account plans and Quarterly Business Reviews, with accountable actions and ongoing mutual improvements between Inpay and the provider.
- Negotiate better terms and commercials annually.
- Ensure compliance with, and enforcement of, Inpay policies and procedures.
- Get involved in strategic initiatives and projects related to the Network team and wider stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in fintech, payments or banking.
- Experience selling and/or buying financial services, plus solid relationship management skills across external and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with domestic and cross-border payment mechanisms (domestic electronic funds transfer clearing systems, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH).
- An understanding of how correspondent banking and local payments work.
- Experience with KYC, AML and customer due diligence, and a good understanding of AML principles.
- Experience using a CRM system to record relationship correspondence, documents, product details and commercials.
- Previous transactional and/or correspondent banking experience is an advantage.
- iGaming payments or transactional banking knowledge is an advantage.
You’ll do well here if
- You communicate and network with ease, and build trust quickly with partners and colleagues.
- You manage stakeholders well and can hold several priorities at once without dropping the detail.
- You handle challenging situations calmly, adapt fast and learn quickly.
- You work with a high level of accuracy.
- You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are motivated by working with cutting-edge financial solutions. Our values
