The role:
GTD Sistemas de Información is an engineering company specialized in rockets (Ariane family) and Ground Control & Command for different launchers and earth observation satellites (civil & military). We know how to create breath-taking, powerful software which is reliable and cost effective, whether it’s needed for space transportation, earth observation and science exploration missions.
We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Design Technician to join our Space Division in Barcelona. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or a Higher Vocational Training qualification in Electrical Systems who is looking to develop a career in electrical design within high-technology and industrial projects.
Position activities:
The ideal person for this position will primarily be responsible for interpreting and designing electrical diagrams and schematics for automation cabinets and measurement systems. In addition, they will generate comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, detailed designs, validation plans, and user manuals.
- Create and modify electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Develop electrical layouts for industrial systems and platforms.
- Generate wiring diagrams, cable lists and bills of materials.
- Produce cabinet layout drawings and cable routing plans.
- Perform electrical calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop and short-circuit current calculations.
- Support the mechanical and electrical installation of platforms and equipment.
- Participate in the software configuration of platform equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across different projects.
Your profile:
- Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) related to Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems or a similar field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and electrical documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of electrical calculation tools such as CANECO or similar.
- Willingness to learn and develop in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- English level B2
Nice to have:
- Previous academic or internship experience in electrical design.
- Interest in industrial, aerospace or high-tech engineering projects.
- French language skills
