As an Asset Manager at TMC, you work on complex civil and infrastructural assets within the spatial domain, such as infrastructure, rail, water safety, energy supply, and area development. These are assets with a long lifespan and significant societal value, where decisions made today have a direct impact on performance, costs, risks, and sustainability in the long term.
You support clients and asset owners in professionally organizing and implementing asset management based on principles such as ISO 55000. You bring structure to the management and development of assets and translate strategic objectives into tactical frameworks and operational choices.
Within projects and management organizations, you act as a connecting link between policy, technology, management, maintenance, and finances. You provide insights into performance, risks, and lifecycle costs, and help organizations make substantiated decisions on investments, maintenance, replacement, and/or optimization.
The assignments are diverse: from establishing or professionalizing asset management within organizations to applying asset management principles in concrete projects and programs. You work for (local) governments, water boards, grid operators, contractors, and engineering and consultancy firms. Regardless of the assignment, your role remains the same: ensuring that assets are managed efficiently, predictably, and sustainably for the future.
What we expect from you
We are looking for an Asset Manager who has the ability to see the bigger picture and connect technical expertise with organization, processes, and decision-making. You thrive in an environment where long-term interests, performance, and risks come together.
You identify with the following:
- You have an affinity with civil engineering, infrastructure, and asset-intensive environments.
- You have experience in asset management, maintenance & operations, or Lifecycle Management within projects or management organizations.
- You are familiar with asset management principles, preferably ISO 55000 or similar frameworks.
- You can translate strategic objectives into tactical plans and actionable management information.
- You have insights into the performance, risks, costs, and lifespan of assets. You are analytical, structured, and have strong communication skills.
- You enjoy working in collaboration with various disciplines and stakeholders.
Technical specialization is an advantage. The ability to take a holistic view, establish connections, and make asset management practical and applicable is crucial in this role.
