About the Role
At FareHarbor, we believe learning is a key driver of our business success, and we're looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to help take our learning culture to the next level.
As an L&D Specialist, you will design and deliver end-to-end learning experiences, continuously iterate and execute programs, and elevate FareHarbor's approach to enablement. This position is ideal for someone just as passionate about instructional design as facilitation, loves to drive a program for start to finish, and eager to collaborate within the L&D team and with broader business stakeholders to translate business needs into measurable learning outcomes that align with business goals and our values.
What you'll do here:
- Design, curate, iterate, and maintain learning solutions and programs, leveraging instructional design best practices, adult learning theory, and a blended learning methodology across modalities (instructor-led, virtual, on-demand).
- Facilitate in-person, hybrid, and virtual instructor led sessions, including monthly new hire onboarding cohorts, ongoing learning programs, and ad hoc sessions.
- Collaborate with SMEs, HRBPs, and other key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments, gather and validate content, and ensure the effectiveness and relevance of training and enablement initiatives.
- Measure learning effectiveness and impact, provide recommendations, and implement iterations as needed.
- Build learning paths and develop programs tailored to specific skills, competencies, and/or roles, leveraging data from impact, engagement, and satisfaction metrics.
- Implement innovative learning methods and activities, staying up-to-date on new methods and techniques.
- Act as a FareHarbor cultural ambassador, exemplifying our Culture and Values and fostering an inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a similar role within a dynamic work environment. Previous experience working at a technology/SaaS company preferred.
- Proven track record of designing, delivering, and scaling high-impact learning programs across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in LMS administration (e.g., Seismic, Docebo) and digital content authoring and creation tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Canva, etc.).
- Understanding of adult learning principles, behavior change models, and instructional design frameworks (ADDIE).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across a variety of teams and audiences.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate effectiveness and tell compelling stories of impact.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
