About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Project Manager to oversee strategic security projects from initial concept through implementation.
You will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, infrastructure and development teams, coordinating technical contributors and ensuring that projects meet agreed scope, budget, timeline, quality and compliance requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to manage high-impact cybersecurity initiatives within an international banking environment where operational resilience, regulatory compliance and information security are critical.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity projects from conceptual design through implementation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery roadmaps.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables and success criteria.
- Coordinate technical resources throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, IT Operations, infrastructure and development teams.
- Provide end-to-end oversight to ensure projects remain within scope, budget and schedule.
- Monitor project progress and produce detailed reports covering milestones, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
- Identify, assess and manage project and cybersecurity risks.
- Raise risk awareness among stakeholders and define appropriate mitigation plans.
- Proactively communicate with project teams, sponsors and technical stakeholders.
- Identify delivery challenges and coordinate effective solutions.
- Implement process and efficiency improvements across project activities.
- Manage dependencies between cybersecurity, architecture and technology teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and steering committees.
- Ensure that security projects comply with internal policies, governance processes and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain clear project documentation and decision records.
- Promote effective collaboration and teamwork across international and multicultural teams.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering or a closely related security function.
- At least three years of experience managing IT or cybersecurity projects.
- Solid technical understanding of cybersecurity domains.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management and network security.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management processes, strategies and methodologies.
- Experience managing project scope, budget, schedule, risks and deliverables.
- Ability to coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in highly collaborative environments.
- French at C1 level.
- English at C1 level.
- Availability to travel within and outside Portugal.

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge or hands-on experience in areas such as:

You understand technical security topics—including IAM, network security, security architecture and risk management—while also being able to manage schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies and executive reporting.
You are comfortable coordinating Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, IT Operations and development teams in a regulated international environment. You can translate complex security requirements into structured plans, measurable deliverables and realistic mitigation actions.
You communicate fluently in both French and English, take ownership of decisions and remain focused on delivering secure, compliant and high-quality outcomes.
