FEC Consultant

FEC Consultant | Client Monitoring Effectiveness | Major Dutch Bank

A large Dutch bank is scaling up its Client Monitoring Effectiveness project and needs a medior FEC consultant to join immediately. The team, roughly 15 strong, is designing and executing a methodology to prove to the regulator that client monitoring controls for natural persons are both effective and risk-efficient. This is a high-visibility regulatory deliverable with direct exposure to senior SMEs across First, Second and Third Line, running on a fast-track timeline through end of March.

About the role

This role sits within the Client Monitoring team and supports the Client Monitoring Effectiveness project for Natural Persons (Wealth Management and Personal Banking). You’ll combine hands-on FEC/client monitoring expertise with data interpretation to build coverage assessments and document backtesting exercises that will ultimately be syndicated with First Line, Second Line, and Third Line/Audit, and potentially shared with the regulator. Availability is critical: the team needs someone who can start immediately.

You will:

• Assess coverage and effectiveness of client monitoring triggers for natural persons
• Define data requirements, source data from other parties, and translate findings into effectiveness conclusions
• Document tests performed, findings, and conclusions to a high standard
• Present findings and manage stakeholder alignment across First, Second and Third Line

Who are you?

• Strong subject-matter expertise in client monitoring (triggers, principles, best practices)
• Solid FEC knowledge, ideally with Dutch regulatory context
• Experience designing or executing effectiveness assessment methodologies
• Comfortable defining data requirements and interpreting data to reach conclusions (SQL/Power BI a plus, not required)
• Strong PowerPoint and stakeholder communication skills
• Fluent English
• Able to start immediately
