Checkoutbooks is the financial back office for e-commerce brands: bookkeeping, sales tax and payments in one place. As we grow, we need a friendly, reliable first point of contact for our clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a front-line support role. Our specialists handle the finance — you make sure clients feel heard, get quick answers, and always know where things stand. You'll manage the shared inbox and chat, answer common questions, and route anything technical to the right specialist. This suits someone calm, clear and dependable who wants flexible, remote work. No payments or bookkeeping background needed — we'll show you the ropes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Answer client emails and chat messages politely and within agreed response times
• Resolve common questions yourself using our help docs and templates
• Route technical or financial questions to the right specialist and follow up until closed
• Keep clients updated on the status of their onboarding and open requests
• Log conversations and keep our client tracker accurate
• Gather missing documents and information from clients when needed
• Flag recurring questions so we can improve our help docs and processes

WHAT YOU BRING

• Excellent written English (REQUIRED) — clear, friendly and professional
• Patient and people-oriented — you enjoy helping and stay calm under pressure
• Organized and reliable — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
• Comfortable with a shared inbox, chat tools and spreadsheets
• Discreet — you'll handle confidential business information
• Previous customer service experience is a plus, not a must; we provide training
