Join our dynamic Equipment Product & Portfolio Management team as an Equipment Value Engineer, where your expertise will be pivotal in driving value engineering initiatives that optimize product costs for offshore wind power equipment. Imagine leading strategic decision-making and portfolio evaluations that directly contribute to our ambitious cost-out targets. You will be the essential link between Product Management and Platform Management, ensuring that our strategic goals are transformed into actionable, economically sound solutions. Your role will not only focus on cost optimization but also on ensuring long-term profitability, making a significant impact on our mission.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive the Equipment Cost Out portfolio, managing COP Programs for DD & NG platforms, Black Zero & Beyond, and pipeline management.
- Ensure governance and execution tracking with a consistent reporting cadence (monthly/quarterly) to maintain and grow the value pipeline.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to evaluate supplier capabilities and alternative material costs.
- Conduct should-cost analyses and lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews on both new and existing products.
- Develop and present comprehensive business cases for proposed design changes, detailing potential savings, implementation costs, and technical risks.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced experience in value engineering, mechanical product design, or cost engineering.
- Strong capability in business case development, NPV modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and implementing design-to-cost strategies.
- Ability to manage complex projects independently from concept to execution, with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
