We are seeking a Project Manager with container terminal experience to lead the delivery and adoption of NextPort's innovative digital solutions across global terminal operations. You'll work at the intersection of terminal operations, technology, and customer engagement, ensuring successful implementation from onboarding through go-live and ongoing support About Moffatt & Nichol:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead customer onboarding, implementation, testing, deployment, and adoption projects.
  • Coordinate terminal operators, IT teams, Product, Engineering, Data, and Support teams.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, risks, milestones, and customer communications.
  • Support integrations with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), equipment systems, APIs, and data platforms.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, and go-live activities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer issues, tickets, and service requests.
  • Help customers maximize the value of NextPort solutions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Maritime, IT, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in the container terminal industry (5+ years preferred).
  • Good understanding of terminal operations, including vessel, yard, gate, rail, and equipment activities.
  • Experience managing projects, system implementations, or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS).
  • Comfortable working with data using Excel, dashboards, or similar tools.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with data formats such as CSV and JSON.
  • Understanding of APIs, system integrations, or operational technology is an advantage.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or similar collaboration tools.
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working is beneficial.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering terminal technology or TOS implementation projects.
  • Involvement in testing, go-live activities, incident management, or application support.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or other project management certifications.
  • Exposure to digital twins, analytics, AI, or optimisation solutions within ports and terminals.
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
