For our Equipment and Process Optimization Department in Eindhoven, we are looking for a:
Software Equipment Engineer
The Equipment and Process Optimization Department continuously improves and optimizes the performance of our in-house developed production machinery and R&D equipment, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation. As a Software Equipment Engineer, you will translate the needs of the Maintenance and Process departments (expert teams) and complex upgrade requirements into practical software solutions, either independently or in collaboration with suppliers and specialists.
Your key responsibilities
- Facilitate expert teams and multidisciplinary improvement groups by translating requirements into concrete designs or modifications and preparing the associated documentation for knowledge transfer.
- Manage software configuration control, MES(Production Data Control) systems, IT affinity, including version management, preparation of CE technical documentation, and providing support and training to equipment engineers and technicians in finding and using documentation.
- Support the Process Control and Maintenance departments by liaising with suppliers to resolve specific technical issues or equipment failures.
- Perform continuous technology watch to identify obsolete equipment and find replacements or alternative solutions.
- Support all the factories of the Optical Fiber BU, with possibility to travel abroad.
As a Software Equipment Engineer at Prysmian, you:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree (HBO) in a relevant technical field, preferably Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- Have preferably 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Possess a Basic VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one.
- Have experience in software development within machine building or industrial automation environments.
- Are a team player who can also work independently with a strong focus on quality.
- Have a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and take initiative.
- Demonstrate project leadership skills, with the ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some experience with industrial platform (Siemens and Rockwell systems) is a plus.
- Have a good english level (mandatory)
What do we offer?
We offer a challenging position in an innovative manufacturing environment, graded in salary scale 11. The salary will depend on your education and experience.
In addition, you are entitled to:
- 27 vacation days
- 13 ADV (working time reduction) days based on a full-time employment contract.
