Are you an experienced MEP – Mechanical Electrical Engineer/Manager with a strong background in large-scale international infrastructure projects and used to working with European standards and practices? Munck is looking for a committed professional to take charge of the planning, coordination, supervision, and implementation of all Mechanical and Electrical works on site.
Munck is leading the construction of a large-scale wastewater treatment plant in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The project supports improved wastewater management and contributes to reduced pollution and sustainable infrastructure development in the region. You will join an international project team with colleagues from different countries and professional backgrounds.
The project involves the construction of a modern Wastewater Treatment Plant based on Trickling Filters technology. The scope includes:
- Major earth and concrete works
- A 3 km inlet pipeline
- A 10 km outlet pipeline
- Several technical buildings
- A landfill area
The full scope of civil and MEP works is expected to be completed over a period of approximately three years.
Your Role
We are looking for an experienced MEP Manager to join the project team and take responsibility for the planning, coordination, supervision, and implementation of all Mechanical and Electrical works on site. The position is based on-site in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and involves an international assignment for an expected period of 2–3 years.
As MEP Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all MEP works are delivered according to design requirements, quality standards, project schedule, and contractual obligations, while maintaining close coordination with the Employer, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. You will work within an international project setup and be expected to bridge practices and standards from Europe and other regions.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all Mechanical and Electrical activities on-site.
- Ensure that MEP works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control disciplines.
- Manage and supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Participate in technical meetings with the Employer, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Contribute to a collaborative, multicultural working environment and foster efficient communication across international stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of solid professional experience, preferably from water, wastewater, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with pumps, piping systems, electrical installations, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Proven experience in site supervision, construction management, or MEP project management.
- Experience from international projects and specific experience from projects in Europe or with European contractors, consultants, or standards is required.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken. Additional European languages are an advantage.
