High Chaparral is a theme park in souther Sweden unlike any other. A visit here is an immersive experience for all the senses and one you are unlikely to forget. The moment you step through the gates into our world, you leave everyday reality behind for a while.

We are a theatrical theme park with a Wild West setting, primarily aimed at families with children. We have around 150 000 visitors during the season June - August. This is reflected throughout our shows, characters, and guest experience.

About the Role:

We are looking for highly skilled professional experienced Stunt Riders to join an upcoming production to become part of the Wild West Stunt Show!

As an Stunt Rider , you will play a key role in the show, both in riding scenes and as part of the acting performance. You therefore need to have extensive riding experience and be a confident rider.

An important part of the role is also caring for our show horses and ensuring their well-being, so that they are healthy, comfortable, and able to perform at their best in the show.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bring scripted riding scenes to life during performances.
• Take part in the park’s shows and perform as an extra when required.
• Train, prepare, and care for assigned horses, as well as train an additional horse when needed.
• Maintain a high standard of riding skills and technique.
• Participate in rehearsals and daily training sessions.
• Inspect and maintain riding equipment.
• Work closely with the veterinarian and stable team to ensure the horses’ health and well-being.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking experienced stunt riders with strong skills in:

• High level of trick riding
• High level of ⁠fast riding and controlled movements
• Good experience in ⁠stunts like fall from horse, gunfights and fight actions on horse
• Historical riding styles
• Mounted Cowboy Shooting
• Experiences performing in front of cameras or live audiences

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Proven professional riding experience
• Excellent horse handling and awareness
• Physically fit and confident around horses
• Able to take direction and work as part of a professional team
• Comfortable working in demanding outdoor conditions

Desirable:

• Professional stunt or action experience
• Mounted weapons skills
• Experience with film, television, theatre, or live stunt shows
• Previous experience riding unfamiliar horses Scandinavian / European historical riding experience

Additional Information:

• The role involves work that can be physically demanding and may carry certain risks. To be able to take responsibility for safety, applicants must therefore be at least 18 years old.
• Selected riders will be required to participate in riding rehearsals and stunt/action training prior to filming or performance.
• The job has fixed monthly salary.
