Are you an experienced Network Specialist with a strong technical background and the ability to oversee complex IT infrastructure? Do you enjoy working with external suppliers, assessing technical changes and ensuring that different IT systems and technologies work seamlessly together? Then this could be an interesting opportunity for you!

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Network Specialist / Technical Architect (Level 3/4) to take technical ownership of our network environment and help ensure the stability, connectivity and integration of our IT infrastructure.

Our LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure has recently been completely renewed. Our firewall is now cloud-based, allowing us to manage and adjust configurations remotely. The physical maintenance of the network is handled by an external supplier.

This means your role will not focus on hands-on physical network maintenance. Instead, you will act as a technical expert, reviewing changes, troubleshooting complex issues and working closely with external suppliers.

Beyond networking, you will take a broader technical architecture role, overseeing connectivity and dependencies across different IT disciplines. Whether implementing new systems, establishing interfaces or resolving complex IT issues, you understand how different components interact and ensure they work together effectively.

An important part of this role is also creating, improving and maintaining technical documentation to provide a clear and reliable overview of the IT environment.

Your responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert for the LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and cloud-based firewall environment.
• Review and assess proposed network changes and their potential impact on the IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Manage and adjust cloud-based firewall configurations when required.
• Oversee connectivity and technical dependencies between different IT systems and disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance during the implementation and integration of new systems.
• Support the setup and troubleshooting of interfaces between systems.
• Coordinate technical discussions and ensure alignment between internal teams and external suppliers. Create, improve and maintain technical infrastructure and architecture documentation.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Senior-level technical expertise in networking and IT infrastructure, at Level 3 or Level 4.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and firewall technologies.
• Experience assessing network changes and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Understanding of cloud-based network security and firewall management.
• Experience working with external IT suppliers and discussing technical solutions.
• The ability to understand and oversee technical dependencies across different IT disciplines.
• Experience with system connectivity, interfaces and IT infrastructure integrations.
• The ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills. Knowledge of Cato Networks is a strong advantage.

Benefits

What we offer

• A senior technical role combining network expertise with broader IT architecture responsibilities.
• The opportunity to work with a recently modernised network infrastructure.
• A position focused on technical coordination, architecture and collaboration with external suppliers.
• The opportunity to improve technical documentation and contribute to a well-structured IT environment.
• Salary details to follow.
