As a Senior Lab Technician, you will play a key role in fermentation and downstream processing, supporting innovative R&D projects while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations. Your work will help bring sustainable technologies from idea to application.
Your key responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory-scale fermentation and downstream processing activities to support bioprocess development.
- Prepare culture media, laboratory equipment, and required materials for experimental workflows.
- Perform sample collection, analytical data recording, and accurate documentation of experimental results.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment while ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities.
- Support daily laboratory operations, including inventory control, organization, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with health and safety standards, quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.

- We offer a gross annual salary of €42.000 , with the possibility of overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.
You bring:
- A background in biotechnology, fermentation, bioprocessing, or a related technical discipline, supported by relevant education or hands-on experience
- Experience working in a laboratory environment and genuine interest in fermentation, downstream processing, and day-to-day lab operation
- A strong focus on safety, compliance, quality standards, and maintaining accurate and reliable documentation
- The ability to take responsibility, work independently, and effectively plan and deliver laboratory activities
- A proactive mindset with a drive to explore new approaches, optimize processes, and develop more efficient and sustainable ways of working
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across different teams and stakeholders
