Executive Summary
IT Solutions Worldwide B.V. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Heat Tracing Technician on behalf of our client
for a permanent, full-time assignment based in Spijkenisse, Netherlands.
In this specialized technical role, you will be part of an expert team responsible for the installation,
maintenance, and optimization of electrical heating (Heat Tracing) systems. These critical systems ensure
that piping networks, tanks, fittings, and industrial surfaces are accurately heated or maintained at required
temperatures to secure complex industrial processes.
This position requires a safety-oriented professional with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, eager
to take ownership of specialized industrial equipment while ensuring the highest standards of operational
safety and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance
- Install and maintain heating cables alongside associated peripheral equipment within complex
industrial environments.
- Perform electrical commissioning of heat tracing installations to ensure optimal functionality and
safety.
- Participate in optional on-call breakdown shifts (storingsdienst) to provide continuous operational
support and rapid response to system failures.
2. Diagnostics & Operational Execution
- Accurately locate, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults and disruptions within Heat Tracing
installations.
- Document all work activities, material usage, and diagnostics digitally using tablets and standardized
work receipts.
- Provide clear and comprehensive operating instructions to clients upon the completion of
installation or maintenance work.
3. Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Act as an integral part of a specialized technical team, maintaining frequent and clear
communication with the Chief Technician (Chef Monteur) regarding project progress.
- Proactively contribute ideas and feedback to improve future working methods, safety protocols, and
departmental efficiency.
Required Profile & Qualification
Professional Experience
- Completed MBO Electrical Engineering education (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Several years of proven work experience within an industrial environment.
- Previous experience in Heat Tracing is highly preferred, though comprehensive on-the-job training
will be provided for candidates with a strong electrical background.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
