Lab&IT support technician

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will support a global technology project focused on developing accessories for conference room cameras used in modern collaboration environments. You will be responsible for maintaining laboratory infrastructure, managing hardware and network equipment, and ensuring reliable operation of office and testing environments. This position combines hands-on IT support, hardware troubleshooting, network administration, and laboratory management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and manage laboratory and conference room equipment, including setup, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of devices
• Recover and repair malfunctioning or bricked hardware used in testing and development environments
• Administer laboratory servers, including resource allocation, monitoring, and support for engineering teams
• Manage and maintain office network infrastructure, ensuring stable and secure connectivity
• Troubleshoot network issues and support the operation of switches, access points, and connected devices
• Service, repair, and replace accessories used in hot desks and shared workspaces
• Coordinate logistics activities, including receiving, organizing, packing, and shipping equipment
• Collaborate with building management and external stakeholders to support office infrastructure and resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, devices, and laboratory assets
• Support the continuous improvement of laboratory operations and technical environments

REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of Ethernet and Wi-Fi technologies, including switches, access points, and network cabling
• Familiarity with DHCP and DNS, with basic understanding of VLAN concepts
• Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Hands-on experience with everyday system administration and troubleshooting tasks
• Basic knowledge of remote administration tools such as SSH and RDP
• Understanding of user account management, permissions, and access control
• Awareness of storage concepts, virtualization, and containers
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities
• Good communication and collaboration skills
