As a System Manager, you will take ownership of supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving our Management System. Your goal is simple: make sure the system works, stays organized, and remains aligned with our company objectives, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
In this role you will be working closely with Business Process Owners, not only related to Quality Aspects, but also Information Security and in the near future Environmental, Occupational health departments. In other words, you will work with many different teams.
You will manage changes and transitions within the Management System and ensure they are effectively implemented through training and Quality Planning. You will also coordinate internal and external audits, follow up on findings, and communicate key results and actions to the Leadership Team.
You will contribute to the Management Review process, helping identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions that support the continued development of our Management System.
And no, this is not a role where you simply maintain documents and wait for the next revision number. You will actively make improvements and help make the system better!
The team:
The Quality team at SMART Photonics plays an important role in ensuring that our products, processes, and way of working meet the high standards expected by our customers and our growing organization.
As the quality team is composed of four team members, including the Quality Manager, whom you will report to, the organization should be able to request you on ad hoc basis to support in Quality related topics, like problems solving, root causes analysis (8D), FMEA for internal projects or supplier related topics.

You will get involved and play an integral role driving our company to the next phase of growth, as we are ramping up volume production!
Your tasks:
- Manage and maintain the Business Management System to meet ISO9001 and other customer-specific requirements;
- Manage changes and transitions of the Management System and ensure effective implementation;
- Coordinate and facilitate Internal & External audits, including customer ones, against applicable requirements like ISO 9001;
- Drive Continuous Improvement to improve the Management System;
- Promote and enforce good documentation practices in the organization;
- Support the team in ad hoc quality engineer requests, like risks/impact analysis, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (8D). Job requirements
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant technical field;
- Experienced in managing (Quality) Management Systems such as ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 or others.
- Experienced with internal and external Audits;
- Extensive experience in a similar role within the semiconductor, automotive, MedTech or related highly regulated industry;
- Knowledge of Quality Tools usage, such as FMEA, CAPA and 8D and problem solving techniques;
- A proactive, hands-on mindset. You don't wait for someone to tell you what needs to be done: you see it, take ownership, and move it forward.
