Join our dynamic Customer Order Engineering team as a Student Worker, where you will play a key role in enhancing and standardizing methodologies for the sea transport of wind turbine components. Imagine diving into engineering analysis and methodology support, where you will help generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and assess various transport routes. You will also contribute to the standardization of bolt reuse methods and work on formatting wind load packages using LaTeX, ensuring they meet professional standards. How You’ll Make an Impact* You will support the development of methodologies for accelerating sea transport design.
- Collaborate with the team to generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and evaluate multiple sea transport routes for wind turbine components.
- Assist in standardizing bolt reuse methods to enhance efficiency.
- Format wind load packages and Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) documents to ensure a professional presentation.
- Update and maintain weight and dimension documents for consistency and professionalism.
What You Bring* You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Knowledge of wave–structure interaction and ship stability is preferred.
- Experience with Orcina software (OrcaFlex and OrcaWave) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with potential flow theory and classification society rules, such as DNV, BV, and ABS.
- You possess knowledge of numerical programming using MATLAB and/or Python.
