We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in advanced data analysis, data-quality assurance, automation and dashboard development.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimise large and complex datasets.
- Perform data-quality assurance.
- Automate data flows and output production.
- Carry out data-linkage activities.
- Develop analytical outputs and dashboards using R Markdown and Shiny.
- Use Git for version control.
Mandatory requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Data Science or another related field, with at least 3 years of experience in data science; or

Non-university degree with at least 5 years of experience in data science.

At least 3 years of experience during the past five years in:
- Evaluating and optimising large and complex datasets and outputs.
- Data-quality assurance.
- Automating data flows and output production.
- Data linkage.
- Advanced R.
- Creating outputs and dashboards using R Markdown and Shiny.
- Git version control.

English level B2 or higher.
Practical details
- Remote work from within the EU/EEA.
- Occasional on-site presence at ECDC in Solna, Sweden, may be required.
- Freelance and employment-contract options are available.
