Senior Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Test Engineer who is passionate about quality assurance and enjoys working with complex systems and technologies. In this role, you will be involved in the verification and validation of software and system functionality, ensuring that products meet both technical and business requirements.

Your responsibilities include test design, test execution, test automation, defect investigation, and close collaboration with cross-functional development teams. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning to validation and release activities.

We are looking for someone with experience in the following areas:

Test automation and scripting

System, integration, or software testing in complex embedded systems

Exploratory and robustness testing

Verification and validation of complex systems

Defect analysis and troubleshooting

Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments

Requirements

Must have

= >6 years of experience in automotive testing, verification and validation

Experience in system, integration, or software testing in complex embedded systems

Strong experience with test automation and scripting

Experience with CAPL and/or Python

Experience working with CAN-based systems, including communication, diagnostics, and ECU testing

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments

Experience with CANoe and/or CANalyzer

Experience with version control systems such as Git

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Fluent in written and spoken English

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Valid Swedish driver’s license (B)

Nice to have

Experience in developing or maintaining test automation frameworks

Experience with C/C++ programming or embedded software debugging

Experience with automotive communication protocols such as LIN, Ethernet, DoIP, and UDS

Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing environments

Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ASPICE, or ISO 26262 frameworks

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Artifactory

Experience working in Agile development environments

Master’s degree in Engineering
