Your mission will be…

Establish Data Product Thinking: Champion data-as-a-product across the domain, designing reusable data architectures, data contracts, and semantic layers that treat data assets as reliable, consumer-grade products with strict SLAs.

Drive Shift-Left Data Engineering: Implement "shift-left" principles by embedding data quality, telemetry and validation controls directly at the source systems (OLTP), ensuring clean, reliable, and well-governed data flows into our operational and analytical platforms.

Architect Hybrid OLTP & OLAP Environments: Design high-performance database solutions that seamlessly bridge transactional operational databases (OLTP) and analytical warehouses (OLAP) to support real-time reporting and predictive analytics.

Design Real-Time Streaming Architectures: Build and maintain scalable, low-latency streaming pipelines (using technologies such as Kafka or Flink) to process continuous event streams and enable real-time operational decision-making.

Modernize the Data Stack (Snowflake & Cloud-Native): Architect and optimize robust, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native data platforms, leveraging Snowflake, DBT, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Automate with DataOps Mindset: Standardize and implement production-ready CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to accelerate development lifecycles and increase deployment reliability.

Consult & Mentor: Serve as a trusted advisor and technical mentor to data teams across Siemens, advocating for engineering best practices, conducting code reviews, and hosting knowledge-sharing sessions. We are looking for someone with…

Education: University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Senior Professional Experience: 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture, with a proven track record of designing large-scale production architectures.

Cloud & Warehouse Mastery: Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and advanced optimization of modern cloud warehouses like Snowflake and engineering tools like DBT.

S****treaming & Real-Time Processing: Hands-on experience with streaming architectures, event-driven pipelines, and real-time data processing engines.

Data Modeling & Architecture: Expert-level knowledge of modern data modeling methodologies (such as Data Vault 2.0, Dimensional Modeling, Kimball, or Inmon) across both OLTP and OLAP environments.

Programming & Engineering: Advanced programming proficiency in SQL and Python, along with extensive experience with modern DevOps and DataOps toolchains (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).

Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex architectural concepts into clear business outcomes for non-technical audiences.
