At De Waal Kozijnen in Veen, we make wooden and pvc window frames, windows and doors every day that people enjoy for years. Whether you already have experience as a woodworker, carpenter or production worker, or have never worked in the timber industry: with us, you learn the trade from A to Z.

Your new job as Production Worker

You start in the spot that suits you best:

• No experience with wood? Then you can start as an assembler (opsluiter): you press and glue the loose stiles and rails coming out of our CNC machines into complete window frames.
• Some technical experience? Then you begin as a fitting worker: you mount hardware, hinges and components onto the frames and make sure they are ready for the next step.
• Experienced woodworker or carpenter? Then you get straight to work as a machine woodworker on our modern equipment.

The nice thing about De Waal: as soon as you have mastered one workstation, you can move on. Many colleagues once started with fitting and are now working independently on the machines, on assembly, or in quality control. You have a say in how far you want to go in the craft.

What you will do

• Assembling, pressing, gluing and fitting window frames.
• Working with our CNC machines, presses, hand tools and equipment.
• Checking materials and making sure the finish is clean and tight.
• Spotting what can be done better and thinking along with your colleagues about improvements.
• Working together in a close-knit team of skilled people.

Who we are looking for

• You are handy and technically minded. A background in woodworking, carpentry, construction, assembly or production is a plus, but not a must.
• You work accurately: with window frames, every millimetre counts.
• You are eager to learn and want to develop yourself in a real trade.
• You are a team player and like to get stuck in.
• You live in Veen, or within reasonable travel distance: Altena, Werkendam, Almkerk, Wijk en Aalburg, Andel, Genderen, Woudrichem, Sleeuwijk, Gorinchem, Zaltbommel, Heusden, Waalwijk or Den Bosch. Travel is reimbursed (see below).
