With offices in Austria and Switzerland - right in the heart of "Crypto Valley" - we are looking for a Junior Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Specialist to strengthen our Compliance team from Warsaw, Poland.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will take ownership of fraud cases, regulatory requests, and risk-based decisions, helping protect our customers and our products from financial crime across Switzerland and the EU/EEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage fraud cases, including complex or escalated matters, from initial detection through resolution
- Handle and respond to requests from Swiss/EU/EEA authorities (e.g. law enforcement, regulators) related to our products and services
- Review transaction details to identify suspicious or unusual activity, applying deeper pattern and typology analysis
- Perform independent risk-based decisions, weighing customer, transaction, and product risk factors in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Document investigations and decisions clearly and accurately for audit and regulatory purposes
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Customer Care teams on AFC-related matters
- Stay ahead of evolving fraud typologies, AML/CFT regulations, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Min 1 year of hands-on experience in AFC, AML/CFT, fraud investigation, or transaction monitoring, ideally in fintech, payments, or banking
- Solid working knowledge of EU/EEA regulatory frameworks (e.g. AMLD, PSD2) and experience liaising directly with authorities
- Currently located in Poland.
- Proven track record of making independent, well-documented risk-based decisions
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements
- Fluent English; additional EU language(s) a plus
