• You work closely with product leadership to align priorities, delivery expectations and roadmap execution.
• You ensure engineering risks, identify and manage dependencies and operational challenges proactively.
• You establish clearer ownership, escalation paths and decision-making practices across the engineering organization.

Technical and organizational alignment

• You collaborate closely with architects and senior engineers on technical direction, engineering standards and platform evolution.
• You drive cross-team engineering alignment and collaboration.
• You ensure engineering best practices, development workflows and quality standards continue evolving consistently.
• You contribute to the evolution of the engineering operating model while maintaining team autonomy and collaboration.
• You support the continued scalability and maturity of the Porto technology organisation.

Tech environment

• You work in a product-driven and cloud-based (Azure) Marketplace platform environment with agile and cross-functional development teams.
• You benefit from modern web architecture and third-party integrations.
• You collaborate with multiple international business and technology stakeholders.

Your Profile

• You have experience leading and developing engineering teams in a modern software development environment.
• You demonstrate strong people leadership, coaching and team development capabilities.
• You have previous experience managing multiple teams or larger engineering groups.
• You posses a solid understanding of software engineering practices, agile environments and modern product organisations.
• You are able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
• You excel in communication, stakeholder management and organizational alignment.
• You have experience operating in collaborative and cross-functional environments.
• You are comfortable working in scaling and evolving organizations.
• You have a strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive organizational clarity and execution.
