In this role, you will take full ownership of 1–2 laser projects, organizing and steering our people while managing direct contact with customers and suppliers. You will have the chance to broaden your horizon by working at the forefront of high-power lasers, serving as a key person in managing the development and industrialization of ultra-high intensity, high-power laser systems within budget and timeline constraints. Your contributions will significantly impact the advancement of our cutting-edge technology.

You will bring solid expertise to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, as well as other external partners. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience managing highly complex and interdependent projects who are looking to grow further within a multidisciplinary and multinational team.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans including timelines, milestones, resource planning, and deliverables, in close collaboration with the technical team
  • Ensure alignment between the different departments, customer needs and external partners, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into physical implementation
  • Own coordination of technical requirements, interfaces, and integration points between subsystems, maintaining documented records of decisions, open items, and resolutions
  • Identify technical gaps and drive resolution across engineering teams
  • Contribute your experience to the overall laser design and its approach
  • Lead preparation and execution of installation at customer site, including on-site readiness check, sequencing, and commissioning across all subsystems
  • Coordinate procurement for the laser systems, working closely with the Company's procurement department to align technical specifications, supplier relationships, and delivery schedules for laser components, optical systems, mechanical structures, and control hardware
  • Hold the primary interface role owning stakeholder communication and project reporting across all levels and geographies through proactive, structured updates on progress, decisions, and open items
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in this field, with the possibility of attending conferences
  • Build an inclusive and psychologically safe team environment, in which team members feel supported and heard

What you bring

  • Master or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in developing lasers or sub-systems or in a laser-related project management position
  • Several years of experience managing complex technical or engineering projects, ideally EPCC-type (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning), with full ownership from initiation through delivery
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, with a strong understanding of system integration challenges — how subsystems interface, where dependencies require coordination, and how to keep multiple workstreams progressing in alignment
  • Ability to maintain tight alignment with an international team; comfortable working across time zones, cultures, and engineering disciplines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to translate technical complexity into clear, decision-ready information for leadership
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, coordinating across teams and functions without direct authority, and building consensus across diverging technical and organizational perspectives
  • A natural collaborator who brings people together around shared goals, able to hold a room of specialists with competing priorities and find workable alignment without losing momentum
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • A healthy amount of flexibility, adaptability, and a can-do attitude
  • Willingness to travel
