Job Description
Denodo is looking for a passionate Associate Data Engineer to join our Global Office team within the Customer Success organization.
In this role, you don't need prior corporate experience—we will provide you with comprehensive, official training on the Denodo Platform. You will have the unique opportunity to work on diverse, impactful initiatives, automate processes, and lead small innovative projects driven by AI and Machine Learning.
Your Mission: To learn, grow, and support the data engine of our department. Guided by senior mentors, you will assist in different initiatives, and explore cutting-edge AI solutions to automate repetitive tasks and enhance our users' learning journey.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Continuous Learning & Upskilling:
- Complete the official Denodo Training and Certification path to become a certified expert in Denodo Platform and logical architectures.
- Technical:
- Identify opportunities to optimize internal workflows. Design, test, and implement small automation scripts and tools, leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) and modern AI APIs.
- Participate in diverse department projects according to business needs, gaining exposure to customer success, data science, and product enablement.
- Active Learning: Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools within the company's data ecosystem. Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills
- Recent Graduate (or final year student) in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- Effective interpersonal abilities and aptitude for public speaking engagements.
- Strong academic foundations in SQL and relational databases.
- Basic proficiency in Python (highly valued for automation and AI scripting) or R.
- Genuine passion for Artificial Intelligence, Prompt Engineering, or automation tools (experience with AI APIs or personal/academic projects in GenAI is a huge plus).
- High learning agility, adaptability to changing environments, proactive "can-do" attitude, and a strong collaborative mindset.
- Good knowledge of data ecosystems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Lots of curiosity. You never stop learning new things.
- Be a team worker with a positive attitude.
Non-mandatory Skills (Nice to have)
- Familiarity with any Business Intelligence tool (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience with AI and Agentic ecosystems.
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Participation in Hackathons, personal coding repositories (GitHub), or data-related competitions.
- Experience in attending customer meetings and writing technical documentation.
- Foreign language skills are a plus.
