You & Your Role
As a Senior Data Engineer within Business Lending, you play a key role in further developing and professionalising our data (quality) landscape. You will design, build and maintain our data quality platform, ensure reliable deployment pipelines, and help the organisation gain greater insight into the origin, quality and usage of data. Working closely with product, engineering and risk teams, you contribute to unlocking new data sources and enabling data-driven decision-making across the tribe.
You will be part of the Data Quality sub-area, working closely with the Data Issue Management and Data Management & Monitoring squads. Together, you support business processes and provide valuable insights into the quality of Business Lending data throughout the organisation.
Examples of Your Work
- Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and efficient deployments.
- Build and maintain Databricks notebooks that support automated data quality monitoring and reporting.
- Analyse new and existing data sources and develop an understanding of Business Lending and the users of our platform

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Build, optimise and support Databricks solutions for data quality monitoring.
- Ensure security, compliance and architectural standards are embedded in the platform and development process.

You are comfortable working within architectural frameworks and in an environment where security and compliance are essential. You carefully consider these aspects when making decisions and can clearly explain the rationale behind your choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You & Your Talent
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration or Software Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Azure Analytics Platform, Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience developing and integrating APIs
- Knowledge of modern data architectures
- Affinity with security, compliance and platform reliability
You are analytical, curious and eager to understand how data and systems work. You take ownership, identify opportunities for improvement and proactively drive change. You enjoy working with others and can effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience with Power BI and Rabobank Managed Service Platforms is considered a plus.
