Job Profile Summary

AirOps is expanding its operations in Lisbon and has launched a Europe-based Agile Release Train (ART) focused on innovations in Seamless Travel, covering areas such as Border Control, Biometrics, and the Seamless Journey Platform. We are looking for a Principal Release Train Engineer (RTE) who will support and guide Agile Release Train members as a servant leader, facilitator, and coach. This role is key in ensuring value delivery, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement within the ART.

In this role, you'll:

• Facilitate ART processes and ceremonies, ensuring alignment and transparency across teams.
• Coach teams, stakeholders, and leaders on adopting Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
• Support implementation of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) practices and flow of value.
• Manage and optimize ART planning, including Program Increment (PI) events and readiness.
• Track and communicate ART metrics to ensure predictability and informed decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders to align strategy and execution, including PI objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement and foster collaborative communities of practice.
• Identify and help mitigate risks and dependencies within the ART context.

Your Profile:

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience (typically 6–8) in IT , plus 2–4 years managing concurrent deliveries in scaled Agile environments.
• Knowledge of SAFe® practices; certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence for planning and reporting.
• Strong ability to manage complex deliveries involving multiple teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage across stakeholders.
• Ability to make informed decisions and support teams in problem-solving.
