Then you may be our new colleague in Global Procurement as Project Manager for our Packaging category. An opportunity to both support the EU Packaging Waste Regulation Program (PPWR), help ensuring compliance and taking the project lead on strategic procurement projects.

Novonesis Procurement, is a team of highly engaged and experienced procurement professionals, responsible for driving global strategies and optimizations through the global category management. Executing strategic procurement is linked through our colleagues located in Supply Chain and at key production sites in all regions of the world including Europe, India, Asia Pacific, and Americas. Our license to operate is to defend Novonesis' profit margin and thereby enable of company growth via better value creating procurement by balancing cost, risk and sustainability.

The role & your impact

As Project Manager, you will lead project teams of varying sizes and complexity, ensuring successful delivery of critical initiatives both within the PPWR Program portfolio as well as the other procurement projects. The role is strongly execution-focused and requires structured project management in a complex and innovative environment where packaging solutions must be developed, tested, and implemented in collaboration with internal specialists and external partners.

Projects within the Packaging Category are executed in support of category objectives, priorities and governance as defined by the Category team.

Areas of focus will be:

• Translating agreed initiatives and priorities into structured project plans and drive delivery
• Coordinating closely with the relevant Procurement category team and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution
• Coordinating local and regional stakeholders to support alignment and execution
• Tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and actions to keep work moving reliably
• Analyzing issues within the assigned project scope, resolve non-routine execution issues with sound judgement, and escalate decisions affecting category strategy, company policy or budget
• Supporting implementation of PPWR strategy and compliance activities through structured project execution
• Preparing clear project updates, documentation, and decision inputs for stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve tools, methods, and workflows within the project domain
• Act as a trusted resource for peers on project-related topics

What you need to be successful

• Strategic Procurement and/or business-related experience within Packaging for minimum 3 years, combined with relevant education at master level within Business, Packaging, Supply Chain, or relevant
• Experience within Biotech, Food, Life Science or similar regulated industries is seen as an advantage
• Experience within Supply Chain, Production and Procurement is an advantage
• Proven experience as a Project Manager leading complex cross-functional projects, preferably within procurement, supply chain, packaging, manufacturing or regulated industries
• A structured approach to manage the agreed initiatives and priorities from project plans to implementation
• Bringing strong execution, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination at local, regional and global level
• Communicates clearly and engagingly with partners across the department, provides practical, action-oriented recommendations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal- & external stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a complex, changing, and global environment
