As our new Senior Manager, Sustainable & Additive Manufacturing, you will lead an innovation department focused on sustainable, circular manufacturing, and on additive manufacturing technologies. You will drive a portfolio of projects from technology scouting and research to prototype development and ensure our great ideas reach a stage where they can make a real impact in our divisions.
What you will be doing
As part of the AME Manufacturing Innovation team, you will drive the adoption of next-generation manufacturing technologies that reduce environmental impact and create business value across Grundfos.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a global team of lead engineers, senior engineers, postdocs, and PhD students
- Define, prioritise, and execute a portfolio of sustainable and additive manufacturing projects aligned with business priorities
- Drive development of circular manufacturing solutions, including remanufacturing and recycling of parts and pumps
- Advance additive manufacturing capabilities for rapid prototyping, optimised designs, and industrial applications
- Manage research collaborations, including PostDoc and PhD projects with universities and external partners
- Bridge divisional strategies, product roadmaps and innovation projects to ensure maximum business impact
What makes you a great fit
You are an experienced innovation leader with a strong technical background and a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering manufacturing technologies from concept to implementation.
We imagine that you have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Innovation Management, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience within innovation, R&D, or technology leadership
- Documented people management experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, ideally within sustainable or additive manufacturing
- Experience with idea pithcing
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience managing academic research partnerships, PostDoc, or PhD collaborations
- Knowledge of modularisation or platform-based manufacturing innovation
- Experience working across divisions in a global industrial organisation
You should expect 10 - 20 travel days per year.
