The Automotive practice inside DXC Luxoft delivers software projects to a majority of the world's car manufacturers and suppliers for both personal and commercial vehicles. We are known for our automotive software expertise and for helping our customers with high quality services and deliveries.

Currently we are growing for our Swedish customers and are looking for DevOps CI Scripting Engineer to join our team. You will be part of our growing organization in Sweden and will be part of developing next generation systems for the Automotive industry in the era of connected, autonomous, electric vehicles.

At Software factory we are building a community with highly skilled personnel. We are harmonizing the workflows and developing tools to be used across R&D, with the aim to accelerate the software development.

We are responsible for:

  • Developing continuous integration (CI) architecture & infrastructure.
  • Maintaining the complete software build and CI flow.
  • Enabling high utilization of infrastructure, test objects and test artefacts.
  • Creating automated tools & applications to secure an efficient flow.
  • Supporting traceability to fulfill all legal requirements.

We are applying manufacturing principles and techniques to software development to mimic benefits of traditional manufacturing and creating a software product line.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support software development and release activities.

Automate build, test, deployment, and monitoring processes across multiple environments.

Manage and maintain Linux-based development and integration environments.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools.

Support containerization and orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, and product teams to enhance delivery efficiency.

Monitor platform health, performance, and availability, ensuring prompt incident resolution.

Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.

Enhance software quality through automated testing, security scanning, and deployment validation.

Maintain source code repositories, branching strategies, and release management processes.

Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Contribute to DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability management and compliance adherence.

Skills

Must have

The role requires a solid educational background in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of two years' experience in automotive software development. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in agile development methodologies, particularly DevOps and Scrum, and possess a strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles. This includes automated testing, disciplined software design, debugging, and validation techniques to ensure high software quality and accelerated feedback.

Hard skills include:

Proficiency in embedded C++ programming with object-oriented design and design patterns at a regular level.

Automation scripting using languages such as Python, Bash, Batch, Groovy, or Shell.

Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Zuul, or equivalent.

Familiarity with infrastructure and container technologies including Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

Version control management using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and repo tools.

Knowledge of efficient software testing methods, including automated unit and integration testing.

Linux administration capabilities.

Software configuration management and monitoring tools expertise.

Soft skills include:

Strong self-motivation and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to work effectively within agile and Scrum teams.

Nice to have

Experience with Gerrit, GitHub, GitLab, and Artifactory, demonstrating familiarity with version control and artifact management tools.

Experience in Android platform development, indicating skills in mobile application and system-level software design.

Experience in ASIL B compliant software development, showing knowledge of automotive safety integrity standards.

Knowledge of SOMEIP, CAN, and LIN protocols, reflecting understanding of automotive communication systems.

Holder of a Category B driver's license, supporting requirements for roles involving vehicle access.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, showing capability in cloud-based environments.

Experience in automotive software development, indicating exposure to the automotive industry domain.

Familiarity with Android Automotive OS, reflecting knowledge of automotive-specific Android adaptations.

Experience with Embedded Linux, indicating skills in embedded system operating environments.

Understanding of Software Factory environments, showing familiarity with modern software development pipelines.

Knowledge of cybersecurity and DevSecOps practices, emphasizing awareness of secure development methodologies.

Experience relevant to large automotive OEM projects, indicating familiarity with automotive industry standards and processes.
