Job Summary
This role is designed for an experienced Embedded Engineer who enjoys driving system software solutions and tackling complex hardware-software integration challenges. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Linux-based embedded systems, optimizing performance, and providing technical guidance to ensure project success across complex environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, write, and optimize embedded software for hardware platforms, prioritizing reliability and high performance.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate, test, and validate system components.
- Identify and resolve complex system issues and bugs using hardware and software diagnostic tools to guarantee system stability.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high quality standards and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
- Adopt modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance engineering processes while keeping technical documentation accurate and up to date.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience writing clean, optimized C/C++ for embedded platforms.
- Practical experience with embedded Linux platforms and kernel module development.
- Solid understanding of embedded peripherals, sensors, and standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Proficiency with JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and troubleshooting tools for performance tuning.
- Strong Git workflow experience for version control and collaborative development.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ownership of deliverables, adaptable mindset.
- At least an Intermediate level in both written and spoken English (B1).
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal microcontroller development.
- Knowledge of Python or Bash for testing and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with IoT architectures and connecting embedded devices to cloud platforms.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and battery/power consumption optimization.
