SLR Excavator Operator | FLC | Immersion Pontoon

OSM Thome is seeking an experienced SLR Excavator Operator for FLC for an offshore construction project in Denmark. The role involves ensuring the safe and continuous operation of the heavy machinery (SLR excavator) on board of an offshore construction barge.

Position Overview:

• Role: SLR Excavator Operator
• Location: Foreshore operations between Denmark and Germany. Based in Rødbyhavn (shore accommodation or floatel living will be provided during off-shift hours).
• Employer: Femern Link Contractors (FLC)
• Project: Construction of Northern Europe’s longest-immersed tunnel
• Salary: Will be provided on and off, under the relevant Danish CBA
• Rotation: 28 days on/off
• Taxation: Local taxes coverage would be advised by the employer
• EU citizenship or residence in Denmark required.

Qualifications / Experience:

• EU citizenship or residence in Denmark required

• Valid AB or OS certificate and STCW documents as per rank

• Practical experience operating excavators, preferably in marine or port work

• Good understanding of deck operations and cargo handling

• Big advantage would be previous experience with following models of excavators:

• Hitachi 1900

• Hitachi 1200

• CAT 390/395

• Ability to work in a team and follow safety rules at all times

• Preferred practical experience with a variety of large equipment like knuckle boom cranes, other large cranes, fork lifts
