Are you eager to gain hands-on experience within Telecom Engineering while contributing to projects in the global energy sector?
Your Position
Join our Telecom Engineering team in Esbjerg and gain practical experience while working alongside experienced engineers supporting communication systems, networks, and telecom solutions across energy projects worldwide.
At Semco Maritime safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.
We are looking for a highly motivated student with strong technical curiosity and a desire to learn. The position offers practical experience from real engineering projects where you will work closely with experienced engineers and gain insight into Telecom Engineering in the global energy sector.
The position is based in Esbjerg, and we expect approximately 15 hours of work per week, planned around your studies.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
As our new Student Assistant, you will support Telecom Engineering in documentation, communication systems, networks, and development activities across energy projects.
Your assignments will vary from practical day-to-day support to engineering-related activities. You will work closely with experienced telecom engineers, learn from project activities, and gradually take on more technical responsibilities as your knowledge and confidence grow.
Depending on your interests and development, you may also become involved in smaller development, automation, digitalization, or optimization projects.
Your tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting Telecom Engineering in documentation, communication systems, networks, and development activities across energy projects
- Preparing, configuring, and setting up equipment for testing and demonstrations
- Unpacking, labeling, registering, and maintaining project equipment and materials
- Updating documentation, engineering records, and project information
- Supporting development, automation, optimization, and other ad hoc activities within the team
We believe that understanding the practical aspects of engineering is just as important as developing technical knowledge. Therefore, no task is too small if it contributes to the success of the team and our projects. At the same time, you will work closely with experienced telecom engineers, learn from project activities, and gradually take on more technical responsibilities as your knowledge and confidence grow.
The role is intended as a development opportunity for students who may later continue their career at Semco Maritime.

We are not looking for a student who already knows telecom. We are looking for a highly motivated student within Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, IT, Networking, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or a similar technical discipline.
