Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

Santander Auto Software is looking for a remote Frontend Engineer

Santander Auto Software is a fully remote software team within the Auto-Finance Domain of Santander. Working with ownership and autonomy, we’ve built from scratch, a state-of-the-art global software platform and product suite that is being rolled out across Europe. We are looking for frontend engineers with experience working in developing and implementing user interface components using React.js concepts and workflows such as Redux and Hooks, who have experience working in a software on demand production environment. You will build Cloud-native, AWS-based, greenfield software and will have time and support to invent solutions to a wide variety of user, business, and technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing and evolve our frontend architecture.
• Monitoring and improving frontend performance.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Design and deliver functional and quality software, with the focus on developing code from scratch through live running code.
• Design functional software (objects & modules)
• Design and implement performant software using documented algorithms and methods of software optimisation on team's functional platform tech stack.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, test and deliver new features and to articulate technical concepts to the business and technical community.
• Developing code, performing test, trials and quality checks to ensure strong functionality and optimisation.
• Maintaining and improving systems and software codes to support and improve product.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Keeping details records of development processes.
• Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Professional Experience

• Sustained professional experience in Frontend development, working with React.js.

• Experience with Redux, Webpack, Hooks.

• Strong knowledge of Javascript , CSS, HTML, and Frontend languages.

• Production deployment experience working with AWS.

• Experienced in true Agile and its engineering practices with a true DevOps mindset. Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
